Bringing Financial Inclusion to Haiti’s Poorest
Fonkoze’s additional financial services are provided through Sèvis Finansye Fonkoze (SFF), S.A, a non-bank financial institution and leader in financial inclusion innovation. SFF offers a full range of financial services in Fonkoze’s 44 branches throughout Haiti.
In addition to microloans, these services include:
- small and medium enterprise loans
- foreign exchange
- domestic money transfers
- international remittances (through CAM and MoneyGram)
- call center
Nearly 70% of Haiti’s commercial bank branches are located in Port-au-Prince. This leaves many rural Haitians without access to critical financial services like savings, money transfers, and remittances.
Fonkoze is committed to serving Haiti’s most vulnerable. 96% of our 44 branches are located in rural areas, reaching Haitians who would otherwise have no access to financial services.
With approximately 200,000 savings clients and over $90 million in remittances processed every year, SFF provides an economic lifeline for hundreds of thousands of people across Haiti. Note: Fonkoze holds nearly 10% of all savings accounts in the country (as of February 2017).
