Mobile Therapeutic Feeding Clinics Address Child Malnutrition

Through our USAID/AKSYON (Community Health Action for Improving Nutrition) program, sets up mobile therapeutic feeding clinics in hard-to-reach rural areas in Haiti to treat malnourished children and mothers. These areas are where clinics are either nonexistent or so poorly equipped that they cannot serve as adequate referral facilities.
Since this began in August 2016, Fonkoze has screened hundreds of thousands of children and pregnant or lactating women. Pictured: Mothers wait to have their babies treated for malnutrition at our mobile therapeutic clinic in Haiti’s Arcahaie region.
